Toto – “Rosanna”
(Drum Cover)
“Rosanna” by Toto features one of the most iconic drum shuffles in modern music. Commonly known as the Rosanna Shuffle, it blends elements of Bernard Purdie’s half-time shuffle and John Bonham’s groove from Fool in the Rain, layered with ghost notes and a Bo Diddley bass drum pattern. Mastering this groove is a rite of passage for many drummers—it challenges control, coordination, and subtlety all at once.
This performance was recorded by Deyson Thiara of StoryBeat Media in June 2023.
Mares of Thrace – “The Perpetrator” (original music video)
This music video is for “The Perpetrator,” a track from Mares of Thrace’s second album, The Pilgrimage (Sonic Unyon Records, 2012). Directed by Colin Hart of I Heart Video, it was filmed primarily in my kitchen—featuring some of my real-life insect pets! A gritty, visceral visual companion to one of our heaviest songs.
Ashley Garrett – “Walkin Red Flag” (Live)

Filmed by Deyson Thiara of Story Beat Media at the Calgary Stampede Music Festival, the video captures Ashley’s incredible vocal power and sharp songwriting talent in full effect.
Video development in process.
